Engineer Rashid, also known as Sheikh Abdul Rashid, is being held at Delhi's Tihar Jail in relation to a terror funding case from 2017. Sheikh Abdul Rashid, who is popularly known to be the Engineer Rashid, was allowed and was granted detention parole by the High Court of Delhi on July 2nd for a period of two hours, which allowed him to take the oath of office as a Member of Parliament on July 5th.
